Vaughn Bethell
Owner & Founder

In 2003, Vaughn Bethell founded Performance QSA located in Greenville, SC with a vision of providing the best opportunity for athletes of all levels and the general population to train at the highest levels in an effort to reach their maximum potential. This vision has become a reality. Over the last nine years, Vaughn has worked with many elite level athletes ranging from high school to the professional ranks and over 1000 fitness clients.  Many of his athletes have gone on to play at numerous colleges and many professional organizations including: NFL, MLS, A-League, MISL, NBA, etc.

Also he currently works with the following clubs or organizations: Furman Men’s Soccer, Furman United Soccer Club, Carolina One Volleyball, Bahamas National Soccer Program, the Doug Allison Soccer Academy, and many more. He attended Furman University where he earned a degree in Health and Exercise Science as well as being a four year starter with the soccer team which was ranked top 20 nationally all four years of his career, including an Elite Eight appearance and a number 5 national ranking in 1999.

He is now a member of the Bahamas National Team who took part in the Germany 2006 and South Africa 2010 World Cup qualifying competitions. Vaughn was born in Nassau, Bahamas and raised in Lakeland, FL where he played soccer, basketball, baseball, and football. After entering high school, he decided to dedicate his time to soccer which led to a scholarship to Furman University and eventually a successful career in the sports & fitness industry.

Ryan McKieRyan McKie

Ryan joins us from Furman University where he was a football standout. He is an Health & Exercise Science major. Ryan is a former client and one of the best athletes to come through Performance QSA. He graduated high school locally from Hillcrest where he is the school’s all-time leading wide receiver.  Ryan has been with Performance QSA for 5 years and oversees all the operations as well as training clients to help them reach their goals as quickly as possible.

Renaldo GrayRenaldo Gray

Renaldo “PJ” Gray graduated from Furman University in December 2007. He was a starter at quarterback for Furman’s well-known football program. PJ started at Performance QSA during the summer of 2007 as an intern. His interest in the job and business drove him back to Performance QSA in an attempt to further his career in the profession of personal training. PJ is from Greenwood, SC, where he was born and raised. He graduated from Greenwood High School in 2003. During his time there he was a standout on the football and basketball team.  PJ now oversees all training operations and Performance QSA trainers.

Andy BarthAndy Barth

Andy comes to us by way of Anderson University, where he was the starting goalkeeper from 05-07. At Anderson, Andy earned Conference Carolinas All-Conference honors in 2006 and was voted the teams’ Most Improved Player all while majoring in Physical Education. Barth also holds a NSCAA State Goalkeeping Coach Diploma. Andy is a great addition to the Performance QSA Team and has a great desire to work with people and help them improve themselves as well as their bodies. Andy is one of most hardworking athletes to come through the program and if he can rub some of his hardworking ethics off onto the adults and athletes that come through our program, you will be very pleased at the results.
